Margate residents can now access free recycled exterior paint through the city’s involvement in the “Paint It Broward” program.
The ‘Paint It Broward’ initiative aims to provide sustainable solutions while enhancing community aesthetics.
Recycled paint, available in 5-gallon buckets, comes in various colors, including Terracotta, Light Gray, Off-White, and Beige. Each household can receive up to four containers per calendar year, strictly for personal residential exterior use.
Community members can take advantage of the program on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Oriole Field parking lot, 7055 Northwest 1st Street.
To secure paint, residents must make reservations by contacting the Department of Environmental and Engineering Services at 954-972-0828 by the day before distribution.
Proof of Margate residency is required upon pickup, and strict safety measures are observed, including maintaining social distance and no pedestrian or cycling traffic during distribution.
