Hongmei Ye {BSO}
A Sunrise woman was arrested following a police sting operation at an unlicensed massage parlor in Sunrise, where law enforcement says she offered sex acts to an undercover detective.
According to the Sunrise Police Department report, Hongmei Ye, 37, of Sunrise, was taken into custody at QQ Spa, located at 8426 West Oakland Park Blvd., after the undercover officer paid for a massage and was later propositioned for multiple sex acts during the session.
The report states the officer was escorted into a private room where Ye told him a massage would cost $50. He paid $60 in department-issued funds before Ye massaged his back, legs, shoulders, and neck for about 20 minutes.
Authorities say Ye then asked the detective to turn over and allegedly offered three levels of sexual services: a sex act for $50, oral sex for $100, and vaginal sex for $200.
The detective declined the offer, and Ye completed the massage. Officers entered the business shortly after and arrested her without incident.
Investigators said Ye later confessed, though the details were redacted from the publicly released report.
Further inspection by Sunrise Code Enforcement and the Florida Department of Health revealed that QQ Spa was operating without a valid business license for massage therapy and that Ye was not a licensed massage therapist, both violations of Florida law.
This arrest comes on the heels of a separate prostitution-related case, Tamarac Talk reported, involving a woman with the same last name. On May 15, Saixiong Ye, 55, of Margate, was arrested following a human trafficking investigation led by the Lauderhill Police Department and the FBI Human Trafficking Task Force.
Authorities say Cure Spa, also known as Luck Spa Inc., located at 4656 North University Drive in Lauderhill, was operating as a front for prostitution, based on evidence from online advertisements on adultsearch.com and skipthegames.com.
While both individuals share the same surname, it remains unclear whether they are related.
According to Local 10, Hongmei Ye was being held at Broward County Main Jail on a $2,000 bond as of Friday.
