The Piper High School football team was supposed to play in a spring game against Edison High School, but had their game canceled.
Instead, the Bengals played in an inter-squad game, as they are coming off a season in which they went 10-2. They won their first playoff game against Doral Academy before falling to West Broward High School in the Regional Semifinals.
Piper heads into the 2025 season, facing Cardinal Gibbons High School in the Kickoff Classic. They will then play against Peachtree High School, as well as home games against Coral Springs High School, Boyd H Anderson, Monarch, and South Broward High School. The Bengals will play road games against Coconut Creek, South Plantation, Plantation, Blanche Ely, and Fort Lauderdale High School.
Piper also recently had two players sign with Latron Hickson and Davaris Lawson is heading to Concord University. These two players were the Bengals’ leading tacklers, as Hickson had 39 tackles and Lawson added 36. Hickson also had two interceptions and two quarterback hurries, while Lawson picked off one pass and returned it 58 yards. The Bengals previously had Antrell McWhirtier and Jahmar Midi sign with St. Thomas University.
