The City of Sunrise Fire Rescue Department is offering two paid internship opportunities designed for students and recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in public service, digital media, and emergency response.
For those who are seeking a career in storytelling, video production, and digital marketing, the Social Media Internship offers up to 26 hours per week of paid work at $15 per hour. Interns will be tasked with contributing to the production of content for the city’s social media platforms, helping to promote public safety and community events through video editing, graphic design, and scripting.
Applicants must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a marketing, communications, or related program and possess proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Candidates should also be prepared to work nights, weekends, and even holidays, such as Independence Day, if needed.
The City of Sunrise is also offering a Fire Rescue Internship that provides students and aspiring emergency professionals with the opportunity to work alongside the Sunrise Fire Department on assignments.
Tasks for Fire Rescue interns will range from public education and data analysis to community engagement and administrative support.
Eligible applicants must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a Paramedic, Emergency Management, Fire Rescue, or Public Administration program. Interns will earn $15 per hour for up to 26 hours per week.
Both internships are temporary positions that can run for up to 12 months, with the option to earn college credit if required by an academic program. Proof of current enrollment or recent graduation is necessary to apply.
