However, the Bengals fell to Monarch High School 4-0 on Thursday, dropping their record to 6-6-2. Piper will close out the regular season with three games next week, beginning with a matchup against Miramar High School on Tuesday, January 12, at 6 p.m. The Bengals will also face Cooper City and Plantation High School.
The girls’ soccer team battled Nova High School in a close contest but came up short, losing 3-2. Piper trailed 2-1 at halftime and scored again in the second half, but allowed a third goal late. In their next game, the Bengals were shut out 2-0 by Monarch High School.
Piper now sits at 6-7-1 and will also play three games next week to close the regular season, starting against Miramar High School on Tuesday, January 12, at 4 p.m., followed by matchups against Cooper City and Plantation High School.
The boys basketball team faced Monarch High School in a tight contest but fell just short, losing 74-72 to drop to 5-6 on the season. Earlier this year, the Bengals earned wins against Deerfield Beach, Coconut Creek, Pompano Beach, South Broward, and McArthur High School.
