Chick-fil-A Robbed at Gunpoint: Coconut Creek Police Scramble to Catch Elusive Suspect

On Saturday, a robbery occurred at the Chick-fil-A restaurant located at the 4600 block of North State Road 7 in Coconut Creek.

According to the Coconut Creek Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene at around 9:15 p.m. to investigate.

The suspect, wearing all black clothing and a dark-colored ski mask, approached one of the employees outside the restaurant and pointed a gun at them, demanding money. The employee handed over the money, and the suspect fled on foot. Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery, according to the police report.

The Coconut Creek Police Department quickly set up a perimeter around the area and enlisted the assistance of a helicopter from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, as well as a patrol dog, in an attempt to track down the suspect. Despite their efforts, the suspect was not found.

The suspect has been described as around 5’4” in height and weighing approximately 120 lbs. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the Coconut Creek Police Department at 954-973-6700.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant remained closed for a period of time following the incident but has since reopened.
