Coconut Creek continues to produce incredible talent in football, with two players receiving awards.
Monarch High School’s Brite Cannon completed his high school football career in style, winning the 2024 Senior Bowl Offensive MVP.
Cannon began his high school football career at Marjory Stoneman Douglas before transferring to Monarch High School for his senior year. He was a major part of the Knights, who won their second straight District Championship and first Regional Title in school history. Cannon caught 40 passes for 763 yards and scored five touchdowns. He finished with 77 catches for 1,555 yards and 15 touchdowns in his three high school years. Despite not being committed yet, Cannon hopes to play at the next level.
“I believe I can truly say I finished my high school football experience with a bang and showed out one last time,” Cannon said.
North Broward Prep’s football star Tromon Isaac Jr. was named an eighth-grade All-American and was selected to compete in Orlando’s Under Armour All-American Game.
Despite suffering an injury in practice, Isaac says the experience was incredible.
“I had the chance to train and compete against some of the best players in the country,” Isaac said. “The coaches were great, and the athletic trainers were extremely helpful. “I’m grateful to Under Armour for inviting me and allowing me to take part in an amazing week.
Isaac, who already has offers to play in college, had an incredible season for the varsity football team, which won five games. He had 5o receptions for 767 yards and nine touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown. Isaac, though, only wants to improve on that next year.
“I want to continue to develop my position skills as a receiver and cornerback while improving my strength, speed, and athleticism,” Isaac added. “I’ll be in the weight room every day and running track to be sure my ninth-grade season is even better than last year.”
