Wild Fork Foods To Close Coral Springs Location by Early April, Citing Store Layout Changes and Real Estate Market Conditions

After a four-year run in the city, Wild Fork Foods will close its doors on its Coral Springs location inside The Walk of Coral Springs for good.

According to multiple reports from customers that have visited the store and spoken to management, the national chain selling frozen grocery goods will close its store located at 2874 N. University Drive sometime in early April.

Reached for comment, a representative from The Walk of Coral Springs expressed disappointment that Wild Fork would not be renewing its lease but pointed to the company’s desire to change fundamentally switch course on store layouts and real estate market conditions as the culprits for the unavoidable exit.

“Wild Fork Foods lease is expiring in 2023, and from what we understand, they have updated their new store sizes to be smaller than the current Coral Springs location,” Gillian Johnson, a representative for The Walk of Coral Springs, told Coral Springs Talk.

“Unfortunately, we were unable to accommodate downsizing the Coral Springs store.”

“As we have all seen nationwide, property expenses like insurance premiums and real estate taxes, which are out of the landlord’s control, continue to increase significantly each year,” Johnson said.

Coral Springs residents distraught over the news of Wild Fork’s departure from the city may still visit the store’s Sunrise location located at 8053 W Oakland Park Blvd.
