Sunrise Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Amy Ferguson, who was reported missing after she ran away from home late Sunday night.
Amy was last seen around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. July 20. She is described as 5-feet-1 and around 140 pounds with red hair and brown eyes.
According to police, Amy left behind all her personal electronic devices with tracking capabilities, making it more difficult for investigators to determine her location.
Authorities said they believe she may be in or near a beach area.
Sunrise Police urge anyone with tips to contact their communications center at 954-764-4357. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
Friends, neighbors, and community members are encouraged to share Amy’s photo and information online to help broaden the search.
“Let’s bring Amy home safely,” the department said in a community alert.
