Matthew Levin {JAFCO}
Matthew Levin, a longtime leader in the Jewish nonprofit sector and a resident of Sunrise, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of JAFCO (Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options).
Levin brings more than 35 years of experience to the role, having served 25 years as the Southeastern States Director at AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) and over a decade as President and CEO of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County (JFSPBC).
During his tenure at JFSPBC, Levin managed a 100-acre campus and oversaw assets exceeding $450 million. He played a key role in growing the donor base, strengthening the organization’s community presence, and leading development projects such as the Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences from the ground up.
“We are thrilled to welcome Matt as CEO,” said Stewart Greenberg, Board Chair of the JAFCO Children’s Village. “His deep community ties and decades of experience in philanthropy will be a tremendous asset to JAFCO.”
JAFCO Children’s Foundation Board Chair Larry Robinson echoed the sentiment, expressing confidence in Levin’s leadership to expand the organization’s impact and serve its evolving needs.
Levin called the appointment an honor. “Ensuring children are safe and have the resources to grow up in a secure, supportive environment is our highest priority,” he said. He also paid tribute to founding CEO Sarah Franco and founding COO Wendy Jenkins, praising their decades of service and commitment to vulnerable children and families.
A South Florida native, Levin grew up in Hollywood and now lives in Sunrise.
JAFCO, based in Sunrise, provides child welfare services, foster and adoption programs, and support for children with developmental disabilities, offering help to families in crisis throughout South Florida.
