The city of Coral Springs has announced an event honoring the victims of September 11 on the 22 anniversary of the tragic day.
The city of Coral Springs will hold a free-to-attend ceremony on Monday, September 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Northwest Regional Library located at 3151 North University Drive.
The 9/11 ceremony will feature a wreath-laying ritual before the library’s 9/11 monument as a gesture of remembrance for the lives lost and the events that unfolded that fateful day.
While the ceremony is set to take place in the morning in the timeframe the events unfolded in 2001, the community is invited to pay their respects throughout the day by visiting the monument.
Those seeking more information about the event or how to contribute may email the Coral Springs community relations team at nvasquez@coralsprings.gov.
