Coral Springs High School baseball officially had four players from its 2023 senior class commit to play college baseball.
Manny Alejandro, Charles Wilson, Martin Malick, and Miles Tavarez were key players last year and helped the Colts win 13 games.
“It’s a great accomplishment to see your hard work pay off,” said Head Coach John Brown. “Very proud moment for the families to see these boys move into a new chapter in their lives. They’ve helped with the foundation of this program with continued success in our future.
Alejandro will play at New College of Florida in Sarasota and hit .246 with six doubles and seven RBIs. Wilson is set to play at the University of Fort Lauderdale after hitting .275 and six RBIs while winning two games on the mound and registering a save.
Malik and Tavarez will be playing at Inspiration Academy Post Grade in Sarasota. Malik led the team with a .365 batting average. He also knocked in seven runs and has three extra-base hits, including a triple, while Tavarez reached base in a third of his plate appearances and scored six runs.
