Fast and Foolish: Boca Raton Woman Arrested After High-Speed Chase from Coral Springs to Boca Raton

A woman was arrested and charged with fleeing a traffic stop and disregarding people’s safety after losing law enforcement officers following a high-speed that began in Coral Springs and ended in Boca Raton.

On March 7, an officer from the Coral Springs Police Department attempted to conduct a routine traffic stop of a speeding vehicle near North State Road 7 and Wiles Road.

According to the arrest report, the officer observed a red 2015 Nissan Versa driven by a young white female with dark hair, later identified as Samantha Anne Neuber, 25, of Boca Raton, traveling at an estimated 65 mph.

The report shows that the officer behind the vehicle at a solid red light activated his cruiser lights to pull Neuber over. Still, once the light turned green, the officer allowed the car to go through the intersection to find a better place.

The officer detailed in the report that as he initiated a stop just north of the intersection, the vehicle stopped in the right turn lane at the 4900 block of N State Road 7.

The report shows that once stopped, the officer had not even exited his vehicle before Neuber began slowly driving northbound on N State Road 7.

Giving her the benefit of the doubt, the officer wrote in the report that he believed at the time Neuber was looking for a safer place to stop but that she continued driving away. The officer noted that he also ordered her to stop using his vehicle’s PA system multiple times.

Ignoring demands, Neuber increased her speed and fled northbound at a high rate of speed in an apparent attempt to elude the officer, at one point reaching an estimated 70 mph.

After a brief chase, the report shows that the officer lost visual contact with Neuber, who was utilizing dangerous driving tactics that included passing multiple other vehicles and with a disregard for the safety of others in her vicinity.

The officer wrote in the report that he advised dispatch that the suspect’s vehicle fled northbound from his location and that a white female was driving the car. CSPD dispatch notified Coconut Creek Police Department that Neuber and her vehicle had entered their city limits.

Having ended his pursuit, the officer entered her vehicle’s tag number in a database that confirmed her identity. A Palm Beach Sheriff’s Officer was dispatched to Neuber’s residence, located her car in the vicinity, and conducted a traffic stop where she was issued multiple citations.

On April 22, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Neuber. She was later taken into custody and transported to the Broward County Main Jail.
