On July 3, Lynn Davila, 57, of Coconut Creek, was taken into custody following an arrest warrant.
According to records, Davila is accused of engaging in a series of fraudulent activities involving Genesis Automation, Inc., leading to charges of grand theft, criminal misuse of identification information, and organizing a scheme to defraud.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Davila was an office manager at the Fort Lauderdale Genesis location, where she had been employed for over two decades.
Genesis Automation, Inc. is best known for designing and building high-precision assembly, test, and special process equipment for various industries.
Authorities allege that Davila’s fraudulent activities occurred between October 7, 2019, and March 12, 2024. During this period, she is said to have used or obtained cash from Genesis Automation, Inc., totaling $1,583,777.88.
Davila was taken into custody near the 2000 block of Granada Drive. She was transported to the Broward County Main Jail and released after posting a $120,000 bond.
