A child was killed and two other people injured in a single-vehicle crash in Margate Thursday night, police said.
The SUV crashed around 10:38 p.m. on North State Road 7 between Southgate Boulevard and West Atlantic Boulevard, injuring the vehicle’s three occupants, according to the Margate Police Department.
All three people were rushed to a local hospital, including a boy flown there by air rescue. He was in cardiac arrest at the time of the flight and later died from his injuries, police said.
The crash is being investigated by the Margate Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Team.
Additional details about the incident were not immediately available Friday.
