A 3:00 a.m. 911 call led to the arrest of a man accused of threatening two women outside Goldfinger Strip Club, claiming he had already shot two people before allegedly waving a loaded Glock handgun.
According to a Sunrise Police Department arrest report, Edward Brefney Edward Brefney Oriley Walker, 29, of Lauderdale Lakes, was arrested May 26 and faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers responded to a 911 call originating outside the Goldfinger, located at 3801 North University Drive, shortly after closing, around 3:20 a.m.
Investigators said two women told police they were standing in the parking lot when Walker approached them and invited them to his Airbnb. After they declined, Walker allegedly became verbally aggressive, insulting the women and calling them vulgar names.
The women told police Walker then made alarming threats, including “I already shot two people, y’all could die today,” and “I hope y’all die in y’all sleep.”
According to the affidavit, Walker then walked to his car, retrieved a black handgun, and began waving it in the air. Both women told officers they feared for their lives and immediately called 911.
One of the women recorded part of the encounter on her cellphone. Police said the video showed Walker stating “No gun?!” before walking to the vehicle, retrieving the firearm, and waving it.
After officers detained Walker, they recovered a black Glock 30 .45-caliber handgun from his waistband, according to the report. Police said the firearm contained a fully loaded magazine with one round chambered.
Walker was booked into the Broward County Main Jail and remained held pending a magistrate’s review of the charges. He was later released after posting a $11,000 bond.
