The high school bowling season is officially complete following a pair of teams competing in the State Championship.
J.P. Taravella came in fifth place in the division and qualified as a team, with Marvin Nixon leading the way with 859 in four rounds. Zackary Kimbrell was second with 797, followed by Bryce Collins with 743 and Hunter Woodruff. Chyanne Vanwinkle and Rey Merajah each bowled in two games and combined for 606 pins. The team was also seeded 15th and lost to the Edgewood Red Wolves in bracket play.
Coral Springs Charter also qualified as a team and was led by Faith Tucker, who had 632 pins. She knocked down one more than teammate Cameron Thiele, while Aubrey Gold had 574, one more than teammate Jazmyn Chung. Chloe Etter also participated for the Panthers, who do not have any seniors on their roster.
Bryce Gregory went to the states from Marjory Stoneman Douglas, recording a four-game total of 789. He will return next year as MSD has only two seniors graduating from their team: Vincent Cuello and Jonathan Rios.
