The Veterans Networking Alliance (VNA), a non-profit organization, has announced its 4th annual recognition event for local brave first responders.
The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, October 25 at 12:45 p.m. and will be held at the Coral Springs Police Department located at 2801 Coral Springs Drive.
Founded by Coral Springs Mayor Scott Brook, the Veterans Networking Alliance aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by veterans as they transition back into civilian life.
A significant part of Brook’s vision was to reduce the tragic numbers of veterans lost to suicide every day. With the VNA, the aim is to “break the stigma” surrounding veterans’ mental health issues.
The VNA offers an array of services, from creating platforms for veterans to connect and share their experiences to providing mental health resources. Through regular meetings, events, and programs, the organization fosters an environment where veterans can build robust relationships and find mutual support.
Speakers at this year’s event include Community Advocate Natalie Gutman, Veterans Guy Drab and Manuel Mair, Veterans Coalition President Tony Bianco, Parkland Mayor Rich Walker, Coral Springs Mayor Scott Brook, and Pastor Randal Cutter.
