This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through May 27, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – Wire was reported on 05/23/2024. The victim was engaged in a romantic relationship with the suspect, and he defrauded her for over $659,000.
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 05/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $21,920.
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 05/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,800. The complainant stated she applied for a job online and it turned out to be a scammer.
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 05/21/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,242. wanted to report a stolen check.
Burglary
Kenny Davis Construction was a victim of Burglary Residence was reported on 05/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $5,700. reporting person advised the home he was working on was broken into.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 05/27/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,840. The vehicle was left unlocked in a parking lot. A bystander observed a male open the car door, take items, and run.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Woodlands Blvd was reported on 05/26/2024. The total estimated loss was $550.
Theft
A victim of Theft—motor Vehicle Parts—was reported on 05/24/2024. The total estimated loss was $820. The victim stated that an unknown person(s) stole her front and rear tires and rims.
A victim of Auto Theft on N University Drive was reported on 05/22/2024. The victim advised that while shopping for her vehicle, a 2018 Infinity SUV QX60 went missing from the parking lot.
Information
A victim of Information was reported on 05/23/2024. The complainant was worried that her elderly mother was being abused by her caregiver.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 05/24/2024. The reporting person’s ex-boyfriend damaged the front door of her landlord’s residence.
Fire
A victim of Fire was reported on 05/24/2024. The victim reported her vehicle caught on fire while traveling on W. Commercial Blvd.
Robbery
A victim of Robbery was reported on 05/24/2024. An unknown subject stole unknown products from the store and, in commission, threatened an employee with a knife.
Arrests
Lynn, John Louis, 29, was arrested on 05/21/2024 on a charge of Battery—Touch Or Strike.
Contreras, Luis, 21, was arrested on a charge of Sex Offense – Promote Sexual Activity Of Victim Less Than 16 years of age on 05/21/2024.
Pinnock, Stephania Rosietta, 48, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Battery W/Deadly Weapon Domestic Violence on 05/22/2024.
Guzman Gomez, Miguel Angel, 24, was arrested on a charge of Sex Offense – Promote Sexual Activity Of Victim Less Than 16 years of age on 05/22/2024.
Toussaint, Stanley Guy, 44, was arrested on 05/25/2024 on a charge of Larceny—Grand Theft Of a Firearm.
Maxon, Jessica Ann, 34, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Assault W/ Deadly Weapon – Domestic Violence on 05/25/2024.
Pardo, Maxime, 36, was arrested on a charge of Robbery By Sudden Snatching W/O Firearm Or Weapon on 05/26/2024.
