Disney On Ice Rolls Into Sunrise With All-New ‘Spotlight Magic!’ Spectacular

Disney On Ice is bringing an all-new production to Sunrise this September, featuring more than 30 Disney characters, new performances, and a soundtrack that mixes Disney classics with popular Disney Channel hits.

Disney On Ice presents Spotlight Magic! will take over Amerant Bank Arena from Sept. 10-13, with seven performances scheduled over four days.

Hosted by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy, the show introduces several characters to Disney On Ice audiences, including Gazelle and Gary De’Snake from Zootopia 2. Angel from Lilo & Stitch will also make her North American Disney On Ice debut, appearing in an aerial performance before joining Stitch on the ice.

The production will feature stories and characters from Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, Toy Story, Moana and Monsters, Inc., along with a new showcase of Disney villains, including Maleficent, Ursula, Gaston and the Evil Queen.

Music will range from Disney Channel favorites from Hannah Montana, High School Musical 3: Senior Year and Descendants 3 to songs including “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” “Be Our Guest” and “I Am Moana.”

The show also incorporates aerial acrobatics, LED technology, a 64-light kinetic chandelier and choreography performed by professional figure skaters.

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 10 and 11; 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 12; and noon and 4 p.m. Sept. 13.

Amerant Bank Arena is located at One Panther Parkway in Sunrise. Tickets are available through SeatGeek or at the arena box office.
