This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through August 26, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Theft
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 08/20/2024. A 2015 red Triumph Tiger 1200 was stolen from the parking lot. Video surveillance obtained shows an unknown suspect walking from Westwood.
A victim of Theft—All Other was reported on 08/22/2024. An unknown subject stole the victim’s debit card and driver’s license from inside her purse.
Publix was a Theft—Retail / Shoplifting victim at 8245 N Pine Island Road, reported on 08/23/2024. The total estimated loss was $10. An unknown male stole two wood pallets from behind the business.
A victim of Theft—All Other was reported on 08/24/2024. The total estimated loss was $386. The victim left her bag filled with her personal belongings at the park, and her credit cards were used online.
Information
A victim of Information was reported on 08/20/2024. Callers advised a dog had been outside for two days in a row. Deputies investigated, and the dog seemed neglected.
A victim of Information was reported on 08/21/2024. BSO responded regarding an NYPD call stating a mother and mother-in-law were being human trafficked.
Death
A victim of Death Investigation was reported on 08/21/2024. The victim was found unconscious and not breathing at his residence. The victim was transported to Woodmont Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Property Damage
A victim of Property Damage was reported on 08/21/2024. A report of vandalism was filed against the exterior of the victim’s residence.
A victim of Lost Property on NW 57 Street was reported on 08/24/2024. The caller lost her wallet on 08/22/24. The wallet contained an ID card, TD Bank debit card, health insurance card, and $80 in cash.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 08/21/2024. The total estimated loss was $15. Deputies contacted the victim about a delayed burglary of his and his son’s vehicles.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 08/21/2024. The total estimated loss was $800. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and stole his firearm.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 08/22/2024. A vehicle burglary in the plaza’s parking lot was reported.
Kidnapping
A victim of Kidnapping / False Imprisonment was reported on 08/23/2024. A dating violence incident took place.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 08/24/2024. Domestic battery between the wife and husband was reported.
A victim of Aggravated Battery was reported on 08/24/2024.
Arrests
Mann, Larry Jerirod, 39, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Touch Or Strike on 08/20/2024.
Mogilevsky, Andrew Anatoly, 42, was arrested on a charge of Sex Offender Violation-Fail To Report Name Or Residence Change on 08/21/2024.
Hutchinson, Diana, 39, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Cause Bodily Harm – Domestic Violence on 08/24/2024.
