More than 60 local businesses will help prepare Broward County high school juniors for life after graduation during the ninth annual Claim Your Future Showcase on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026.
The industry-focused career fair, presented in partnership with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, will take place from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Amerant Bank Arena.
More than 1,200 Broward County Public Schools Career, Technical, Adult & Community Education students are expected to attend. The event offers hands-on career exploration, networking with industry leaders, mock interviews and resume support from school counseling advisors.
Students will also participate in a “Future Ready Skills for Internships and Beyond” professional development session focused on workplace readiness and career pathways.
Bob Swindell, president and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, said the showcase connects classroom learning to high-wage, high-demand industries in Broward County, including technology, life sciences, aviation and corporate headquarters.
BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn said the event provides students with valuable exposure to the professional world and helps them build confidence and career skills.
Major sponsors include Amerant Bank Arena, the Florida Panthers, Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, Keiser University, Wells Fargo, Applied Roofing, and Areas.
