Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through October 23.
Theft
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on NW 61 Street on 10/21/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,800. Unknown suspects stole the victim’s vehicle rims and tires.
A victim of Theft – All Other on Woodlands Blvd on 10/20/2023. The total estimated loss was $400.
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on W McNab Rd on 10/17/2023. The total estimated loss was $340. The victim advised her four wheels were stolen from her vehicle.
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W McNab Rd on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $143.
A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 57 Street on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $20.
A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 66 Terrace on 10/19/2023. The complainant wants to report the theft of mail from her residence.
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 75th Street on 10/21/2023.
A victim of Auto Theft on E Sabal Palm Blvd on 10/22/2023.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on W Commercial Blvd on 10/17/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,000. An unknown subject entered an assigned work vehicle, a white van, and removed multiple hardware/electric tools. Unknown total cost at this time.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on McNab Rd on 10/23/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,000. The victim’s vehicle was left unlocked, and a Surface Laptop was stolen from the trunk.
A victim of Burglary Residence on NW 58 Court on 10/17/2023. The total estimated loss was $690.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 97 Avenue on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $360.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Southgate Blvd on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $315. Unknown subject(s) burglarized the victim’s 2019 Red Mazda CX 5.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance NW 57th Street on 10/17/2023. The total estimated loss was $200. A Volkswagen Jetta was left at a gas station and broken into, and a purse was taken.
A victim of Burglary Residence on Buckeye Court on 10/19/2023. The total estimated loss was $200.
Battery
A victim of Battery advised that her boyfriend assaulted her while sleeping in a U-Haul truck in a hospital parking lot area due to the battery going dead.
Robbery
A victim of Robbery By Sudden Snatching on W Commercial Blvd on 10/23/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,900.
Arrests
Lawrence, Akoua, 23, was arrested on a charge of Possession Of a Weapon or Ammo By a Convicted Florida felon on NW 62 Street on 10/17/2023.
Ramnarace, Aumkar, 30, was arrested on a charge of Warrant: Carry Concealed Firearm on N University Dr/W McNab Road on 10/19/2023.
Lavorci, Andrew, Nicholas, 34, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on N University Drive on 10/20/2023.
Omeally, Curry, Akeem, 31, was arrested on a charge of Burglary -Unoccupied Dwelling Unarmed on Lakeside Drive on 10/20/2023.
Vera, Andre, Luis, 31, was arrested on a charge of Warrant: Carrying Concealed Firearm on N Pine Island Road on 10/22/2023.
Mlot, Shannon, Rene, 53, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence at NW 65 Street on 10/23/2023.
