As Spirit Airlines employees across South Florida cope with the company’s recent shutdown, two local restaurants are offering a gesture of support to those affected.
Throughout May, Matchbox Sawgrass Mills is offering Spirit Airlines employees a free 10-inch personal pizza with a valid work badge. The restaurant, part of Thompson Restaurants, is located near one of Spirit’s major hubs and said the promotion is aimed at supporting pilots, flight attendants, and ground crew members during a difficult transition.
The restaurant group said the effort reflects its commitment to supporting the local community and workers impacted by recent industry changes.
Separately, Wiseguy Pizza on Las Olas Boulevard is currently offering a limited-time buy-one-get-one deal on all 18-inch pizzas.
