Flash and Sweetie {Humane Society of Broward County}
Two special pets are waiting for their chance to find a permanent, loving home at the Humane Society of Broward County.
Meet eight-year-old dog Flash and five-year-old cat Sweetie; each offers unique companionship.
Flash, a dog with a history of temporary homes, is once again under the care of the Humane Society. First adopted as a puppy, Flash found himself returning to the shelter after his family relocated and could not take him along.
His second adoption was short-lived due to his energetic nature, as he was returned after a day for chasing a cat. Despite these setbacks, Flash remains a loving and enthusiastic companion. He is well-behaved with children and other dogs, enjoys playing fetch, and is fully potty-trained. His ability to follow commands and his crate training are additional positives that make him an ideal candidate for adoption.
Sweetie, on the other hand, is a serene, green-eyed cat who thrives in peaceful environments. Previously the sole pet in a quiet home, Sweetie currently resides in a community cat room at the shelter.
While she is adjusting well to living with a roommate, her preference for sunny spots and her friendly demeanor indicate she would do best in a loving home where she can bask in undivided attention.
To meet Flash or Sweetie or to learn more about other pets available for adoption, prospective pet owners can visit the Humane Society of Broward County’s website at www.humanebroward.com.
The shelter encourages interested individuals to complete a pre-adoption application online before visiting in person at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. The adoption department opens daily at 11 a.m., and appointments are not necessary. For further inquiries, the shelter can be reached at 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
