
Renaissance Charter School at University in Tamarac. {Charter Schools USA}
On Tuesday, the Renaissance Charter School at University cross country team raced in the Northwest Area Schools XC Championships at Tradewind Parks.
The girls’ team came in sixth and had Kaylee Chisholm finish 15th individually. She was followed by Camilla Bonila, Sunday Green, Layla Bien-Aime, and Zaniyah Simmons. The boys’ team finished in eighth place, with Nathan Harry recording the top time and placing 23. Ajene Apply, Francisco Oquendo, Francisco Oquendo, and Ethan Lattie all placed within six spots of each other, while Gabriel Johnson also ran.
Both the boys’ and girls’ teams will have the chance to run in more races during the regular season before the postseason starts later this year.
