The accolades continue for Coral Springs Charter Middle School quarterback Ralph Diaz.
The 13-year-old star was named the Middle School Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player. This comes a year after Diaz was nominated and selected to play for the All-American Dream Team in the AT&T Stadium in Dallas. He was also chosen to play in the All-American Bowl at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles.
While Diaz knows there are certainly areas to improve, he was extremely excited about the opportunity.
“It feels like another step in the right direction was another amazing accomplishment, Diaz said. “My hard work and grind is showing such improvement. I’m happy to be leading my team positively. I know I need to keep grinding and put that work in every day to become a better football player and person off the field.
Throughout the spring of 2023, Diaz played a season of 7v7 with the Next Level Team, helping them make the championship. He also played several tournaments, with his father coaching on the Big Ballaz Team, advancing to the championship game but falling short a touchdown.
Diaz also played flag football and led his team to the top seed in the playoffs, and another run to the final became the number one seed in the postseason advancing to the championship game, falling short of the win. The young quarterback has gained attention from various coaches around Florida as he will play his second year with the CSC Middle School football team.
