Monarch High School students launched a relief drive on Friday for victims of Hurricane Helene.
Members of the school’s 30-plus clubs are collecting essential supplies for Floridians impacted by the storm, which has killed at least 42 people across the Southeast and left more than four million people without power.
The school’s hurricane supply drive will run until October 15, organizers said.
Donations can be dropped in boxes in multiple classrooms, as well as a box accessible to the public in the school’s front office.
Organizers said the most needed items are food and water, medical supplies, baby and pet care supplies, clothing and shoes, household essentials, personal hygiene products, repair tools, and insect repellent.
