Following a complaint, Miami Kabab’s Coral Springs location was ordered to temporarily close following a health inspection.
According to health and food inspection records, state health officials reviewed the restaurant at 10422 West Atlantic Boulevard on August 30 and uncovered significant roach activity within the kitchen area.
The inspection report detailed multiple instances of live roaches found throughout the kitchen.
Health officials observed live roaches near a chest freezer, inside a two-door reach-in cooler, on the floor between a wall and the cooler, and crawling on boxes near the three-compartment sink dish rack.
Only one violation was cited during the inspection, but the presence of roaches was deemed severe enough to warrant an immediate shutdown.
Miami Kabab will remain closed until a follow-up inspection confirms it is free from roach activity.
