Golf enthusiasts are getting ready to swing into action for the day of golf aimed at impacting school safety.
The 3rd Annual Make Our Schools Safe Golf Classic (MOSS) is set for Friday, November 3, at The Country Club of Coral Springs, 10800 West Sample Road.
Teeing off at 1:00 p.m., the tournament will consist of a four-player scramble format that allows players to compete against each other in a group format that encourages competition and friendship on the 18-hole course. The cost is $888 per group.
The MOSS Golf Classic is more than just a fun-filled day of smashing golf balls across the greens; it’s a chance to make a meaningful contribution to the community. All proceeds from this event will be dedicated to a school safety project at J.P. Taravella High School, part of the Make Our Schools Safe mission to ensure the safety of students and educators.
Sponsorship opportunities for the event are still available, beginning with a Silver package, priced at $5,500, which includes a foursome, company logo on 144 golf towels, social media posts, and six tee signs, to the Platinum package that comprises two foursome packages, 20 tee signs, and lunch with Lori Alhadeff, board chair for Broward County Public Schools and mother of Alyssa, tragically killed in the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting.

As an added incentive for attendees, a special offer has been extended. If you post a photo of yourself at lunch with a Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber board member at the Country Club of Coral Springs and tag the Chamber, the Country Club of Coral Springs, and Make Our School Safe, you’ll receive a 50% discount on your lunch.
In addition to the lunch discount for every such post, the Country Club of Coral Springs will donate $20 toward school safety.
