Lickie Stickie BBQ {Google Maps}
Lickie Stickie BBQ in Sunrise was ordered closed on December 4 after state inspectors found live roach activity, flying insects, and sanitation concerns.
According to the Inspectors, they documented live roaches in hand-wash sinks in the prep kitchen, inside a knife collection bag on a top shelf in the prep kitchen, and one live roach on the main kitchen floor, crawling into a wall. They also reported a dead roach inside a prep sink in the kitchen.
The inspection also noted approximately 30 small flying insects throughout the establishment, which landed on walls, cooking pots, prep tables, and boxes of single-service items.
The report noted that inspectors also found the microwave’s interior covered with black residue, grease, and food debris.
Lastly, all hand-washing sinks in the restaurant were blocked and inaccessible.
The restaurant must correct all violations before reopening.
