J.P. Taravella cross country had its first race at Quiet Water Parks on September 4, and the boys placed third overall.
Akeem Beckford placed eighth, followed by Elijah Vessells ninth, and Dominic Martinez Craig Dennis finished 23rd, while 30 Saul Flores, Ali Mustafa, and Scardy Fils all finished seconds a pair with Donald Lee, Kemoy Williams, Nakhai Rei, Kurt Austin, and Elijah Porter-Hall.
The girls did not run as a team, but 10 Raquel Arne placed tenth. Oliver Neal and Caileen Canales placed 23rd and 24th, respectively, followed by Giavanna Lionelli.
JPT will compete in various races throughout the season, including the City Championship, before the start of the postseason.
