Former Coral Springs Charter star Luis Guillorme officially signed a one-year deal worth $ 1.1 million with the Atlanta Braves.
Guillorme graduated from CSC in 2013. During his best year, he achieved an impressive batting average of .570 and drove in 34 runs, hitting 17 doubles and one triple.
In 2013, he was drafted by the New York Mets in the tenth round of the MLB Draft, pick number 296. He has since played six years in the major leagues.
The slick-fielding infielder is a lifetime .261 hitter with five home runs and 48 RBIs. He hit his first major league home run in 2019 against the Washington Nationals and had his first career walk-off hit in 2023.
Guillorme is set to play for an Atlanta Braves team that made it to the postseason last year. While they already have a talented infield of Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies, Orlando Arcia, and Austin Riley, they traded away one of their young infielders, Vaughn Grissom, earlier this year.
