Tamarac Elementary School is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an Alumni and Community event.
The city’s first school opened in the fall of 1974, with James H. Henschel as its first principal. Tamarac Elementary’s motto was, “Show me what you can become. There’s a dream for everyone.”
At the 40th Anniversary in 2014, the school staff buried a time capsule with unique items and cards selected by the teachers and students.
Join the party on Saturday, November 16, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the school’s South parking lot. To celebrate 50 years, guests will enjoy music, food trucks, games, and face painting.
Tamarac Elementary School is located at 7601 N. University Dr.
