Piper Girls Volleyball Opens Season With Dominant Sweep of Blanche Ely

The Piper High School girls volleyball team opened its season on Wednesday with a dominant three-set victory over Blanche Ely High School.

The Bengals won 25-8, 25-8, 25-10 to improve to 1-0, marking the second time in the last three years they have opened the season with a win. This year’s roster features Madison Delamotte, Arianna Holguin Torres, Naomi Levy, Avalina Glover, Melody Delamotte, Ayse Kalaycik, Auria Paul and Jade Nisbett.

Piper is coming off a 10-11 season and will play Plantation High School in its next match on Monday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. The Colonels went 3-9 last season, including a three-set loss to Piper.
