Anthony Quigley, a senior on the J.P. Taravella baseball team, competed nationally in the Baseball Factory All-American Game on ESPN U.

Quigley wanted to thank Mike Landis for selecting him to play in Texas at Globe Field Park.

“It was super fun being able to play against the top prospects in the 2024 class, and knowing I was one of them made it pretty cool, too,” Quigley said. “You know, playing on TV is every kid’s dream, and it was definitely a cool experience. I had family around the country watching me, which was really nice.”

Quigley shined in the game with a walk and a sacrifice fly. During his two years on varsity, he hit .304 as a sophomore and went 4-2 on the mound with 32 strikeouts in 35 innings.

Last season, he recorded a save in one of his four appearances while driving in four runs while JPT won the HSBN First Pitch Elite Tournament and reached the Regional Semifinals for the second straight season.

Quigley also won a National Championship with the Original Florida Pokers and will be playing his senior year with JPT before playing college baseball at the University of South Florida.
