The U.S. Secret Service will hold a free virtual event to improve school safety and educate the community on preventing school violence.
In preparation for the upcoming Fall 2023 school season, the U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) has announced hosting a comprehensive virtual school safety training session on Thursday, August 24. The nationwide training to enhance school safety will be conducted via Microsoft Teams from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The virtual event, open to educators, administrators, counselors, mental health professionals, law enforcement officers, and other stakeholders vested in school safety, has been organized to provide insights into preventing school violence.
The virtual training will cover various aspects of school safety, including the behavioral patterns and psychological profiles of potential attackers, successful prevention strategies employed by schools, and the implementation of effective safety protocols.
