Mix, mingle, and sip.
That’s only part of what to expect on Thursday, May 23, at the Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Whiskey and Wine Tasting.
Admission costs $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members. Complimentary appetizers will be served. A cash bar and full menu are also available. Raffle drawings and interactive activities are included with the tasting.
Peter Mason, the chamber’s executive director, said that last December, Woodmont Country Club had a successful “bourbon” event, so the chamber is continuing the tasting theme for the community.
“It’s bringing people and businesses together,” Mason said. “People can come, chat, and exchange business cards.”
The tasting event will also feature an educational component about the whiskeys and wine during the tastings, themed music, and pub questions by Music By Ed.
“Learn about origins, production methods, and pairing,” Mason said, adding this event is a business card exchange for business professionals and residents.
Asked to name the featured wines and spirits attendees will be tasting, mum is the word from Mason. “It’s a surprise,” he said.
Held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Woodmont Country Club, 7801 NW 80 Ave., Tamarac.
Mason is asking those interested to RSVP by Wednesday by calling the chamber at 945-722-1420 or by visiting their website.
