The Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation is reaching out for compassionate adult volunteers to dedicate time to feline friends in need.
Based in Lauderhill, Saving Sage, which recently celebrated its ninth anniversary, needs volunteers to clean, feed, and provide much-needed love. With a current roster of three cats at Pet Supermarket and six at Petco, the need for volunteers is significant.
Volunteers are urgently needed for one-hour weekday morning shifts at two locations: the Pet Supermarket at 2446 N University Dr and the Petco at 9200 Wiles Rd.
The call to action comes from Michelle Reichler, a volunteer board member at Saving Sage, who emphasizes the importance of adult involvement in the care of the animals, noting that the rescue operates a shelter in addition to its partnerships with local Pet Supermarkets and Petcos.
Reichler, a Parkland resident and attorney, highlights the challenge of covering every shift, as most adults are occupied with work during the day.
Despite the hurdles and her busy schedule, Reichler is an animal lover, sharing her home with an 80-pound pit bull and five cats, all living in harmony.
