This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through October 14, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Theft
A victim of Theft -All Other was reported on 10/11/2024. A trailer was stolen from the property. The total estimated loss was $12,700
A victim of Theft – Bicycle was reported on 10/14/2024. The total estimated loss was $600.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 10/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $527.
CVS was a victim of Theft—retail / Shoplifting at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, reported on 10/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $202.00. The CVS Manager reported that a male entered the store and stole $202.00 worth of body wash.
Publix was a victim of Theft—retail / Shoplifting at 4121 W Commercial Blvd, which was reported on 10/09/2024. The total estimated loss was $93. An unidentified subject stole Tide Pods from Publix.
A victim of Auto Theft at Coral Vista Community was reported on 10/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $70.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 10/08/2024. Auto theft occurred involving a Honda Accord.
Sawgrass Infiniti was a victim of Auto Theft at 5801 Madison Avenue, reported on 10/09/2024.
A victim of Theft -All Other was reported on 10/10/2024. An unknown suspect broke into the mailboxes and stole mail.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 10/11/2024.
Fire
A victim of Fire on NW 57 Street was reported on 10/08/2024. A resident was cooking with oil and left it unattended for a few minutes, causing a fire.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 10/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,982. An individual female reported that her vehicle had been burglarized.
A victim of Burglary Residence was reported on 10/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $381.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 10/11/2024. A verbal argument turned physical between family members.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud—All Other was reported on 10/13/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,000. The victim paid $2,000 to an unknown subject for his truck. The unknown subject has not contacted him and blocked him after receiving the money.
A victim of Fraud—all Other was reported on 10/12/2024. An unknown subject(s) attempted to use the victim’s information to apply for an apartment.
Information
A victim of Information was reported on 10/12/2024. The complainant advised that she gave her Facebook password to an unknown female. The victim’s account has been locked for 180 days.
Arrests
Wilder, Charles, 32, was arrested on 10/08/2024 on a charge of Larceny-Petit Theft 1 Degree 100 less than 750 Dollars.
Pratt, Aaron Tyrone, 36, was arrested on 10/09/2024 on a charge of Larceny-Petit Theft 1 Degree 100 less than 750 Dollars.
Francis, Sophia, 48, was arrested on a charge of Larceny – Grand Theft 750 Less Than 5k Dollars on 10/09/2024.
Watts, Jeremy Christopher Xav, 35, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Dating Violence on 10/10/2024.
Pavret, Schneiderson, 18, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 10/12/2024.
Alberga, Ashley Zarada, 31, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Battery-cause Bodily of Harm Or Disability on 10/14/2024.
