Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through June 19.
Burglary Conveyance
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 53rd Street was reported on: 06/13/2023. The total estimated loss was: $2,830.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Spinning Wheel Lane was reported on: 06/16/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,000. The victim reported his computer was stolen from his vehicle overnight.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Island Club Drive was reported on: 06/13/2023. The total estimated loss was: $90.
Drugs / Narcotics
A victim of Drugs / Narcotics Offenses on Lakeside Drive was reported on: 06/13/2023. Contact was made with the defendant in reference to a bicycle light violation. An investigation revealed he was in possession of 11 grams of FTP Cannabis. Additionally, an outstanding out-of-custody probable cause affidavit was completed by Margate Police for kidnapping.
Theft – All Other
A victim of Theft – All Other on N State Road 7 was reported on: 06/14/2023. The total estimated loss was: $300.
Theft – Retail / Shoplifting
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on: 06/17/2023. The total estimated loss was: $55.
Fraud – Wire
A victim of Fraud – Wire on NW 96 Terrace was reported on: 06/14/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,200.
Auto Theft
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 81 Street was reported on: 06/14/2023. The victim advised that while she was throwing up on the side of the road, an unknown suspect(s) stole her rental vehicle, a black Chevy Camaro. The victim advised the door was open and unlocked with the keys inside.
A victim of Auto Theft on Cherry Blossom Lane was reported on: 06/15/2023. Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim`s unlocked 2017 yellow Chevy Camaro, parked in her driveway. The victim advised that one of the key fobs was located in the vehicle’s center console.
A victim of Auto Theft on Banyan Way was reported on: 06/18/2023.
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 68 Place was reported on: 06/18/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,884. The victim’s 2022 Toyota Tacoma was stolen from the apartment complex.
Robbery
A victim of Robbery on Rock Island Road was reported on: 06/15/2023. An adult male reported a male pointed a gun to the back of his head and began searching his pockets, a struggle ensued, and the suspect fled the scene.
Information
Information on N Isles Circle was reported on: 06/16/2023. The victim reported that he sent naked pictures of himself via Snapchat and is now being extorted by the person he sent them to.
Arrests
Young, Corey, Antione, Demetri, 19, was arrested on a charge of Larceny-Petit Theft 2nd Degree 1st Offense on W Commercial Blvd on 06/13/2023.
Joseph, Irvens, 34, was arrested on a Burglary-Conveyance Unoccupied/Unarmed charge on Island Club Drive on 06/13/2023.
Cook, Louis, 18, was arrested on a charge of Loitering Or Prowling at N State Road 7 on 06/13/2023.
Snow, Sierra, Leone, Emier, 23, was arrested on a Violation Injunction Protection Domestic Violence charge on NW 69 Avenue on 06/14/2023.
Pierre, Michael, 40, was arrested on a Warrant – Suspended Dl charge on N University Drive on 06/16/2023.
Betty, Paul A., 47, was arrested on a Trespassing-Property Not Structure Or Convey charge on N State Road 7 on 06/16/2023.
Rosales, Alfredo, 29, was arrested on a Trespassing-Property Not Structure Or Convey charge on W Commercial Blvd on 06/16/2023.
