Crime Update

This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through July 8, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.

Death

A victim of Death Investigation was reported on 07/02/2024.

A victim of Death Investigation was reported on 07/05/2024. The subject was found unconscious and unresponsive in his residence and later pronounced deceased.

A victim of Death Investigation was reported on 07/06/2024. An adult male victim was found deceased outside.

Theft

Walgreens was a victim of Theft—retail / Shoplifting at 6401 W Commercial Blvd, which was reported on 07/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,416.

A victim of Theft—All Other was reported on 07/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $177. The victim left her wallet in the restroom; when she returned, it was no longer there.

A victim of Theft – Bicycle was reported on 07/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $100.

A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 07/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $20.

A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 07/03/2024. A victim advised his vehicle was stolen.

Burglary

A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 07/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $5,000. The victim returned to their vehicle and noticed that it was broken into. The offenders stole the vehicle’s computer module.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 07/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,500. The victim is reporting an unknown subject entered his work truck, a white Dodge Ram and removed numerous items from the middle compartment.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance W Commercial Blvd was reported on 07/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,040. The victim’s backpack and laptop were stolen out of the vehicle in the parking lot.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 07/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,100. An unknown subject burglarized the victim’s vehicle and stole multiple items.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 07/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $550. The caller advised an unknown person broke her car’s front passenger window and stole her purse.

Shooting

A victim of Shooting / Unlawful Discharge was reported on 07/04/2024.

A victim of Shooting / Unlawful Discharge was reported on 07/04/2024. The victim noticed a projectile in the roof of his vehicle.

Battery

A victim of Battery was reported on 07/04/2024. The victim was battered by a boyfriend of one year.

Property Damage

A victim of Property Damage was reported on 07/05/2024. A golf ball from the golf course hit the back window of the reporting person’s vehicle, causing it to break.

Arrests

Demesvar, Steve Levy, 24, was arrested on a charge of Drugs-Possession-With Intent To Sell Etc Other Schedule Iii Or Iv at 6193 Rock Island Road on 07/02/2024.

Plancher, Jonatin, 34, was arrested on a charge of Larceny-Petit Theft 2 Degree 3 Subsequent Offense at Tamarac on 07/06/2024.

Anderson, Andre Owen, 30, was arrested on a charge of Dui Ubal>.15 Or Accompanied By a Person less than 18 years of age at 4999 NW 31 Street /W Commercial Blvd on 07/07/2024.
