Spring is back in full swing with the return of the Sunrise Family Fishing Derby.
The City of Sunrise hosts its Family Fishing Derby on Saturday, February 8, at Welleby Park, located at 11100 NW 44th Street. The free and open-to-the-public family-friendly event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The Family Fishing Derby is suitable for all skill levels. Participants must only bring their fishing pole and bait to participate, with night crawlers or worms recommended for the best catch. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Awards will be presented in multiple categories.
