A woman faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for her part in a road rage incident that left two drivers in the hospital with serious injuries.
According to accident and police reports, on August 5, the Coral Springs Police Department responded to emergency calls reporting a violent road rage incident resulting in a major collision and serious injuries.
Upon arrival on the accident scene near the intersection of Coral Springs Drive and Lakeview Drive, officers encountered multiple heavily damaged vehicles and bystanders providing medical assistance to injured people.
According to eyewitnesses and law enforcement records, the altercation began when two vehicles, one driven by a woman later arrested and identified as Onesiha Beckford, 24, of North Lauderdale, were involved in a high-speed road rage altercation.
According to the driver of one of the cars involved, who was identified as a victim in the case, the incident began after he had completed a food delivery in the area of the 800 block of Ramblewood Drive. At that time, Beckford’s vehicle started tailgating him aggressively, honking its horn, and driving recklessly close to his bumper.
The victim, fearing for his safety, decided to head towards the Coral Springs Police Station, but Beckford continued to follow him as he traveled north on Coral Springs Drive and passed over Lakeview Drive.
Witnesses told law enforcement the situation ended when Beckford intentionally collided with the back of the victim’s vehicle three times, the third causing the victim to make a desperate attempt to evade Beckford, leading to a collision with an uninvolved red Honda SUV, causing it to lose control and crash into a tree.
The driver of the red Honda suffered severe injuries due to the collision and was transported to Broward Health North for medical attention.
According to the police report, as shown in her subsequent mug shot, Beckford sustained injuries during the ordeal, including a laceration to her left eye.
Beckford was rushed to Broward Health Coral Springs for medical attention. Upon medical clearance, she was transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where she was released after posting a $20,000 bond.

The aggressive driving and road rage is out of control and deadly. Something has to be done. Grown ass adults killing innocent people by car…and for what???
