A Sunrise native and graduate of Piper High School is making waves in the fashion world as a top national scholar.
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) fashion design student Amanda Kerr has recently been named as the recipient of the Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholarship.
This prestigious scholarship is awarded by the Fashion Scholarship Fund, the leading U.S. nonprofit for fashion education and workforce development. The Fund awards over $1.9 million annually in scholarships in design, merchandising, marketing, and business strategy.
Selected from more than 600 students across 90 universities, Kerr, a Piper High School graduate, was one of the few selected recipients to receive the Virgil Abloh ‘Post-Modern’ Scholarship, which includes a $10,000 award.
Her work stood out among hundreds of applicants, impressing a panel of esteemed judges.
