
Next Stop Broadway Teen Theatre Project Presents “Mary Poppins” {Next Stop Broadway}
The Next Stop Broadway Teen Theatre Project is gearing up for an enchanting production of Mary Poppins, set to captivate audiences with its blend of magical moments, vibrant dance numbers, and timeless music.
According to communications director Randy Koral, the talented teen performers have been diligently training for five weeks under the guidance of their instructors to bring this story to life.
One of Disney’s most cherished movies, Mary Poppins, has been reimagined as a practically perfect musical. Drawing from P.L. Travers’ books and the iconic Walt Disney film, this musical adaptation, co-produced by Cameron Mackintosh and Disney, enjoyed a spectacular Broadway run with over 2,500 performances. It garnered nine Olivier and seven Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical
Audiences can expect an enchanting blend of irresistible storytelling, breathtaking choreography, and remarkable stagecraft. The show features unforgettable songs such as “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” “Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!”
Each number promises to sweep viewers off their feet, leaving them humming long after the final curtain call.
Showtimes are Thursday, August 1 at 11:00 a.m. and Friday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $25 each, with a special Student Rush discount available on the day of the performances for all shows.
