The Margate Middle School boys basketball team is off to a strong start this season.
The Spartans beat Franklin Middle School 48-14 in their opening game behind 16 points and nine steals from Acarus Boyd. Margate dropped its second game against Dillard but beat Fort Lauderdale Middle School 46-24. They are set to play its next game on Wednesday, October 1, against Westpine Middle School.
