Trace Torisk {BSO}

A Coral Springs man faces aggravated battery and drug possession charges after allegedly purposefully hitting his girlfriend with his vehicle.
On January 21, the Coral Springs Police Department received a 911 call from a person who claimed to have witnessed a vehicle speeding up and striking a female in the area of Turtle Creek Drive and Terrapin Lane.
According to records, the caller told CSPD they witnessed the car accelerating before hitting the woman, who, seemingly injured, got up and entered the same vehicle that struck her, indicating a possible domestic disturbance was in play.
The driver, later identified as Trace Torisk, 25, of Coral Springs, reportedly also called CSPD to report the incident but claimed he did not know the victim and that he told her to get away from him before striking her as she walked in a bike lane.
Torisk and the injured woman were found inside his vehicle, a gray Hyundai Sonata, parked in front of the Harbour Island community by CSPD, and an investigation into the events began.
The report shows that Torisk’s statements to dispatch and police were reportedly incoherent. Upon questioning, the injured woman – traumatized – initially claimed responsibility for the incident.
It was later revealed that a complex and seemingly toxic relationship between Torisk and Angulo was in play, with a history of domestic disturbances documented by CSPD.
According to the report, the woman told officers she and Torisk had been at Scarlett’s Cabaret the night before, long before the incident occurred, which was first reported at nearly 9:00 a.m.
Despite initially cooperating with the police, Torisk soon requested an attorney when questioned about his relationship with the woman.
The victim, who had visible injuries, refused medical treatment and transportation to the hospital.
A critical piece of evidence later emerged from CCTV footage, capturing the incident. During the investigation, officers discovered a bag containing a white powdery substance inside Torisk’s vehicle, later identified as cocaine.
Torisk was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail. He was later released after posting a $16,000 bond.
