
Sunrise Civic Center {City of Sunrise}
The City of Sunrise invites young poets, musicians, and artists to step into the spotlight at Lyrical Lounge Teen Open Mic Nights, a vibrant monthly event designed to inspire creativity and foster self-expression.
Presented in collaboration with the Jason Taylor Foundation and the Omari Hardwick bluapple Poetry Network, Lyrical Lounge offers a platform for teens to share their talents in a supportive environment.
The evening starts with a free writing workshop at 6:00 p.m., where participants can refine their craft under the guidance of a teaching artist.
At 7:00 p.m., the mic opens for teens to share their words and music, with an emphasis on positivity and creativity. Audience members are welcome to join and enjoy the show.

The event takes place at the Sunrise Civic Center, located at 10610 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise, FL 33351, alternating between the Art Gallery and Theatre. Light refreshments will be served, and Broward County Transit Route 72 provides convenient access via Oakland Park Boulevard.
