Ray Park was seeking a restaurant that served authentic Korean food and was dissatisfied with the places he visited.
He opened his own restaurant, Hallyu Korean BBQ & Bar, at 6800 North University Drive in Tamarac, which boasts a seating capacity of up to 300 people.
At Hallyu, guests can experience cooking their meals at their tables and enjoy a variety of all-you-can-eat options.
“Hallyu means everything is the Korean way, and that is what we do at this restaurant,” he said.
According to Park, there are two karaoke rooms and a VIP room for private parties or business events.
Hallyu aims to offer high-quality Korean food in a pleasant atmosphere, offering steak, chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, and plenty of sides.
The menu comprises three all-you-can-eat options: deluxe $35, premium $45, and VIP $55. The more expensive sections offer more options.
“Korean food is the fastest growing food type in the world. We are committed to delivering a top-tier Korean BBQ experience and serving the best food,” said Park.
When Park decided to open his restaurant, he had no food service experience. His business experience includes janitorial services, construction, and real estate.
“We will have the biggest and best Korean restaurant. It will be a place where you have a meal with family and friends or a party,” said Park.
Hallyu is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
